Jewish life in Jericho
The ancient synagogue is from the Islamic period and built by a Jewish community that understood Jewish values. Located near the miraculous Tel Jericho and the Elisha wellspring, "Shalom Al Yisrael" has the most wonderful name in the world. The symbols on the mosaic floor teach us about the possible combinations to bring peace - holiness, unity, and prayer. Given the way our enemy has defiled the synagogue, we demand that when we return to Jericho, the synagogue will be annexed to Elisha and the Arava Road. We should not return to the synagogue as guests but as the rightful owners. We will demand Jewish housing there and full civilian activity, no longer under the guns of terrorists.
